The gospel impacts all of life, even the way we give. As people who have trusted God with the security of our souls, we can trust Him for all the things of our lives. Ultimately our security does not rest in what we hold in our hands, but in the One who holds us. So this crazy thing happens. Instead of clutching onto our stuff, we are willing to let them go for the sake of others. The gospel tells us that God saw our need and generously, sacrificially, and joyfully gave Christ for us. Our hope is that our giving would be patterned after the gospel and marked by the same adjectives.
